Replace footage in Premiere Pro?

Participant ,

I am needing to replace source footage in my Premiere Pro project as there were issues with audio sync /drift in the original files used.  I am working with Riverside (the recording platform) to get updated files that do not have the audio sync issue.  Once I have those files, I would like to use them to replace the source footage currently being used in my project.  Is the "replace footage" function best for this?

My understanding is that, once replaced, the previously applied effects to the respective clips will remain intact, as well as the in/out points will.  Does that sound correct?

Thank you!!

That’s correct.

Clip > Replace Footage will only allow you to replace one file at a time.

If the files have the same file name, a quick workaround is to move your original files into another folder on your desktop, then save the new files to the original folder. Premiere will automatically replace the original files with the new ones.

Just remember that now you have corrected the audio drift some of the edit points might be wrong when using the new files.
