Request for media browser to show MOGRT files

Hi,

I just wanna say, it is baffling that since MOGRT appeared in Premiere Pro in 2017, it still isn't supported in the Media Browser. This would make far more sense when browsing for the appropriate MOGRT for a project. The Essential Graphics panel is quite poor for selection. You arrange all your files by categories into folders on your PC, and then open the Essential Graphics panel to see them all scattered individually and alphabetically. If you're not going to make the Essential Graphics panel more user-friendly, then make the Media Browser able to read the file and keep the Essential Graphics panel for editing the MOGRT only. Having to use third-party extensions such as AEViewer and Motion Factory for this purpose just makes no sense. It cannot be that hard for Adobe to give use proper value for our money without us having to pay for third party extensions for something as basic as browsing MOGRT files by categories.

Yea, there's some issues with the way it's designed. That said, you can use both Libraries and Local Folders to organize your mogrts, grouping them as you wish. Not the slickest thing perhaps, but it can be made to work. Takes naming your Libraries & local folders of course, for what you'll put in them.

And the place to actually communicate with the developers and especially the all-important Marketing & Experience staffers ... well up above the teams ... that make decisions on most things, and that by their metrics ... is their Premiere Pro UserVoice system.

All posts are logged in by an engineer, and go in collated form to the upper staffers. You can of course go there, search for similar things or post a new one, and then post the link to it back here for people to go upvote.

But yet, we still don't get the answers that we need.  Frustrating.  We just get told where we should have submitted our issue.

We're other users. This forum is primarily a user-to-user setup. What answers are we supposed to give?

All we can do is the practical stuff. How to work with what's there now, and provide directions for where to go ask for someting different.

Well on some of my other posts on issues I have actually had Adobe employees help me with issues.

Thanks,

Yes, and that's a delight when it happens. I'm even one of the people who most often 'pings' their profile ID for assistance here.

However ... it ain't that common. Most threads have no development staffer participation. And the Product Support staff aren't in the same internal 'line' as the product teams.

But this forum is not a place that development people "attend" constantly. And past that, the only place we users can give the all-important metrics for changes is their UserVoice system, which gets both entered into their data systems by an engineer ... but more importantly, collated and delivered to the all-powerful Marketing & Experience people way up above the developers.
