Revert mp4 back to prppg file

I converted a segment, via media encoder, to mp4 file output.  My original segment cannot be found, canI convert the mp4 file back to prppg file?

The short answer is no...  But you should be able to find the prproj file (which is what I'm assuming you're trying to do) in your autosave folder if by some chance you've deleted the prproj file from wherever you normally store it.

A project file is a special file that contains commands to Premiere about what to do to the video file

 

A project file does not change/move/delete the original video files... it tells Premiere what to do so when you export to a new video file it is 'edited' to become something new

 

If you can't find the original video file that means that you moved or deleted or renamed the file
