Working on my Macbook Pro M1 Max/32 Ram and using Adobe Premiere is frustrating. Any effect or transition makes the timeline turn red and it performs very clumsily, practically not playing anything. Everything has to be rendered all the time (A 20-second video takes 10 minutes to render in order to be able to view it within the same program.). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it hasn't worked. The working experience is becoming increasingly negative with the Adobe suite and this only encourages users to look for other options like Davinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
Is there something that can be done to optimize the workflow in Premiere or is it a lost battle?

If you are using non gpu effects then yes it turns red and takes long to render.
