right audio output channel in the sequence not working

New Here ,
Jan 22, 2025 Jan 22, 2025
  • Issue - the right audio output channel will not work even after I set the output to the right. It has worked in the past but doesn't work in the sequence. This has been a reoccuring issue even after installing and uninstalling Premier Pro. Only started experiencing this issue after upgrading to the 2025 version.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 2025
  • Operating system - macOS, Sonoma 14.5 (23F79)
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD: GPU (Intel-based Macs and PCs)
  • Audio format: mp3 audio from Epidemic sounds but all audio formats used produce this issue
  • Workflow details: I always check the audio channels and output. As shown in the video I take the audio straight from the source which has both right and left audio outputs working. Once I drop the audio clip into the sequence the right audio channel is mute.
  • I need help fixing this issue so that both audio channels are working and audio can be heard from the left and right outputs. Also please add information on how I can troublshoot this problem if it happens again and the reason it could be happening.

Please explain what is needed to be done here. The button you show outlined with a square doesn't do anything on my side

It shows your track is mono and the clip is stereo: hence only on one side audible.

Thanks for the pointer. I figured it out by right clicking on the button you outlined, selecting Track Output Channel Assignments and checking channels 3-4.
