Ripple Delete Single Clip on One Track?

Explorer ,
Oct 16, 2024 Oct 16, 2024

Super noob question driving me nuts.

I have a timeline with an audio bed that will not change. I'm moving video clips around and trying different options. I would like to be able to delete a single video clip and have everything thereafter move up and close the gap. I've tried selecting the clip and shift/delete. Nothing happens. Is there a simple, one-step way to do this?

Thanks!

That's ripple/delete.

Tried that, doesn't work. If I delete the clip and try to ripple delete the gap, ripple delete is greyed out.

You should probably post a screenshot of the entire PP screen so we can see what you are doing.

If you're on a Mac, it's Shift + Forward Delete.

If it still doesn't work, try the Timeline shortcut for Ripple Delete: Alt + Backspace / Opt + Delete.
