I am working on a 45 minute pilot training video with over 100 markers. Whenever I make an edit that affects the timeline, my markers (on the timeline) do not stay in sync even though I have Ripple Sequence Markers selected. This is making editing VERY PAINFUL!!! Does anyone know of a workaround that actually works? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Answer: Ctrl/Cmd + drag clip from the source monitor to the program monitor or the beginning of the timeline.

i am having the same problem - 'Ripple Sequence Markers' is selected yet doesn't actually happen when I make an edit that effects duration. Is this a bug or am I doing somethig wrong?

Me too, and I can't find an answer to this anywhere that makes sense. The answer above is confusing. not sure how it relates to the marker issue.

I am having the same issue. When I ripple delete, the markers stay at the same time location, I toggled the ripple sequence markers on and off, changed the type of markers from chapter to every possible type, same issue.

I found a solution, open app preferences and reset app preferences, pp should ask to restart, and this should fix the issue.
