I have to perform same action for multiple vidoes. Is it possible to do it all once? For all the videos, I have to split at playhead a 5 second clip (out out a 5 second clip) starting from -15 s to end until to -10 s to end, and then I have to give a smooth transaction between those clips (for example just 1 sec overlap to those parts). Could anyone help me out? Is it even possible?
Premiere Pro doesn't have anything built in to do this. The best route I think would be to look into keyboard shortcuts or keybinding automation software. Keyboard Maestro for Mac is one and AutoHotKey is another. As long as all the actions you want to perform are tied to keystrokes and keyboard shortcuts you might be able to work something out.
One thing that might help automate this is that you can paste numbers into the Playhead Position current time field. That can help you go to precise times repeatedly without having to drag the playhead.
Just came across another thread in this forum that has to do with scripting with timecode in Premiere Pro. If you or someone you know is comfortable with scripting languages, maybe this would let you use the ExtendScript API to write something that would, for example, go to the Out point and back up by the number of seconds you need from the end.
