I create and edit a lot of branded content around apparel, swim, etc. Most of this stuff is shot at 120fps from filmers. I am cutting 16 x 9 and 9 x 16 on the regular.
The issue I'm having with Premiere, and it's been forever ongoing is when I choose to speed ramp or adjust speed with time remapping, you can no longer use scale or position keyframes. It just straight up will not work. The only workaround is to nest the clip that is time remapped and then you can after it's nested.
That's been fine; however, the true annoyance comes when working in 9 x 16; if you nest, you lose the information so you have to take that clip throw it in a 16 x 9 timeline, nest it, and then bring it back. Honestly just so unnecessary and hopefully this lesser-known issue can be addressed or noted.
Side note: I'm also a video editor educator at a local college, and this issue is always annoying to have to address to students as, well, it's a bug, I think? I feel like I'm always making up excuses about issues within the program and convincing the students to stick with me as it is a Premiere class, not Davinci which most of them prefer. 😛
