I am experiencing issues with the Scene Edit Detection function in v23.2 as it appears to be a lot less sensitive than in v23.1. I'm working on macOS 12.6.3.
The first screenshot is from v23.1 and you can see that the total number of edits detected is substantially higher than in v23.2 from the same video clip.
This function is essential for my workflow as I am working with one hour long clips.

I'm having the same problem in 23.3. I use them for shorter clips (also for a church) but it would be frustrating to have to cut them myself when the techology exsits and works fine in another version.

Also running into this issue.
Using OBS recorded footage in a game where the player shifts POV regularly. Used to almost get annoyed that the markers were too frequent/catching phantom cuts. Now the issue is reversed - I am getting fewer markers detected to cut through, which really slows down the workflow.
For reference,
Intel Core i7 11700KF
NVIDIA GeForce 3090 Ti
32GB of DDR4
Premiere Pro 23.4

Now I just updated to Premiere Pro 24 and the edit detection remains weak, missing changes of POV that were easily marked in versions earlier than 23.
