Screen is black when paused in Premiere Pro v22.2

This issue just started happening today. I'm running PP v22.2 on iMac 5K late 2020, 3.3HGz 6-Core Intel Core i5, Memory 72GB 2133 MHz DDR4, Graphics AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB, Big Sur 11.6.4

When I play on the timeline I can see everything fine, but when I stop it goes black. This doesn't happen on every clip in the timeline, but most of them are doing this. I've cleared caches and restarted as well as relinked files and it's still happening.

I just found that when I set the display mode to multi-cam I can see the paused image, but it's in a double screen view. Better than nothing, but wanted to see if anyone knew why this is happening.

Thanks
