The changes to the Program monitor scrolling behavior is one of those things where there are many users ecstatic over the changes ... you now have three options, zoom in or out of the image, jog/scroll the clip, or change the 'magnification' of the timeline itself in the Program monitor.
All dependent on where you have the cursor when you scroll.
I get that for many, this is a wonderful help. Awesome, cool, I'm glad for them.
But like some, I'm not so pleased with it for my own use, and although I'm working with it ok, I would prefer the ability to turn this off.
And while in general I am so pleased we finally got the audio transition handles for crossfades like Audition has had ... the implementation has made it tricky to get to where you can simply trim the edit point, because you have very little space there 'free'.
You can turn off the Fx badges, which I used to use always. They were informative at a glance.
Now, they aren't informative at a glance, and the new location makes trimming a royal pain as so often you open an effects dialog when all you wanted to do was trim your cut.
So ... I simply turned them off, as they are no longer of use to me whatsoever.

The new Program monitor behavior is one of those things most frequently asked by After Effects users since years to be changed because you very often happen to zoom in or out unwillingly touching the scroll wheel 🙂
I do not like it and I immediatly promoted my keyboard shortcut "zoom to fit" from the CTRL+ALT-Level upwards.
