The search issue is back again, it is not working correctly, It leads to no matching search results or no results at all.

Please fix this issue it is so annoying, I must create a new project and import the project I'm working on to make it work.

It's 2024 version and it's still there!!

Thanks Kevin, I am working on multiple projects for clients and this makes it challenging to stop and troubleshoot when one needs to delivery, etc. I reset preferences last night and that seemed to solve my issues. same, I just know I can't use it like I used to so I just have to find the file/asset I am looking for by myself, annoying and stupid in my opinion. Trashed preferences, no difference.

One thing about the Search bar that does trip people up, is if there is a BLANK "character" at the front of the search box. It is very easy to get that, you don't "see" anything there, and it messes up any search efforts.

As this can happen easily enough, it's the first thing to test for Search bar issues. Click in the Search bar, right-arrow to make sure you're at the far end, then backspace until it stops moving to see that you have cleared all characters out.

That ...might ... be your issue. Worth trying, anyway.
