Sequence clips don't automatically align like they used to (NEWBIE)

I know this a very newb question but when I try moving clips around they don't move to the beginning like they used to. I must've accidently disabled something unknowingly because it used to work several days ago. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work. Please Help!
