Sequences disappearing

I'm working on a series with three other editors and we discovered last night that the sequence for version 2 of a scene is missing.  We can't find it anywhere.  We've gone back through auto save projects and checked other projects (to see if it accidentally got saved there) and it's looks to be completely scrubbed from existence.  For a minute we thought we may not have actually made the edit but we checked emails and there are revision notes and messages saying the revisions have been made.  I'm at a loss as to where it could be.

It SHOULD be in one of the auto save files (v1 has been moved to the OLD folder which wouldn't have happend unless v2 was created).  It's very unlikely someone accidentaly deleted that sequence but if that did happen, it still should be in an auto save project.  

We are 4 editors using a Premiere Production working from a shared storage.
