Set iMac Retina Display to Rec.709 for Grading in PP?

Hi, in addition to editing on my iMac, I also have to do the grading on this display.

My question
What exactly speaks against changing the color profile of this monitor to one of the Rec.709 profiles?
Wouldn't that simplify things a lot?
