Sharing Metadata

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I'm currently working on an unusual project and am looking for a solution.

I'm working with finished broadcast material (with permission), and I need to log each shot to share it with other editors on the team. Ideally, I'd like to write the metadata to a file/database somewhere, not just within one premiere project.

Issues so far: I'm applying auto scene detection to cut up this material, copying the clips into a bin, and then adding descriptions to the clips.

These clip descriptions only exist in the premiere project. Can we also export a CSV showing the In/Out Timecode, clip description, file name, and first frame jpeg?

XMP, this doesn't seem to work for me despite checking the text boxes in the settings.

Team project, I've not worked with these before, could this be a solution?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

One option is to use Export as Avid Log Exchange...

ALE's are plain text tabbed separated values (with a bunch of header stuff at the top). So you can easily convert to CSV if you want. Unfortunately ALE export doesnt respect the columns you have visible in the  metadata display options but it will export the timecodes as well as comments and descriptions.
