Slow performance, sluggish and unresponsive

• Issue - The program runs slow, sluggish, underperforms. Most actions take a couple of seconds to process, such as adding clips to timeline, pausing/resuming playback, changing active window, etc. The performance of the whole program is really bad on high-end machines.
  
• Adobe Premiere Pro version number: CC2022+ (2021 is the only functional one for many)
• Operating system - Windows
• System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:

  • intel i9 9900k

  • Nvidia RTX 2080

  • 128 GB DDR4 @ 3400 MHz

  • SSD Drives

• Video format:

• Workflow details: Brand new project...
  

I have seen a comment by the community manager that you PPro devs don't look at the community discussions very often, and I think it's time you do... Your program is absolutely plagued with performance problems and bugs.

Hi @Adam Speedy I read a bit of your previous post, I'm sorry this has been an ongoing issue for you. It sounds like you know what you're doing and probably aren't missing anything obvious. The one thing I wanted to know is if you use any external video or audio hardware boxes or ouptut cards, and if so, how do you have them configured in the preferences. Sometimes those can be configured in such a way as to cause some sluggishness across the application.

If you don't have any of that, would you mind recording a video (either screen recording or just with your phone pointed at the screen) showing you making a new project, importing some clips, and then the sluggishness happening? Sometimes seeing what you're seeing can help us get to the bottom of things.
