Created a test project. There are 15 4k h264 4:2:0 video tracks on the timeline, added a adjustment layer, Lumetri with LUT on it and moved the sliders a little. Duration is 1 minute. Windows 11 23H2, system: intel core 13600k, Geforce 3070, 64 GB RAM.
Playing back the timeline.
Premiere 25.0 - 0 frame drops.
Premiere 25.1 - 950 frame drops and obvious freezes.
Updated Windows 23H2 to 24H2 and tried to run the same test project on it. Nothing changed.
My colleagues have the same problem. I think the reason for the slowdowns is the new priority of choosing a decoder dGPU -> iGPU. Please return to how it was in 25.0 iGPU -> dGPU.
HI @,
I'm following up. Could this possibly be the same issue? https://adobe.ly/4jBGt64
Let me know and I'll move your thread there where our engineering staff is already working with others to solve this frustrating problem. Let me know. I hope we can help you on this issue. Sorry for the problem.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi there,
I'm sorry for the poor experience. If you mark In and out points and render your timeline, do you still experience frame drops in Premiere Pro 25.1? Please also check if there are any Studio Driver updates available for your NVIDIA GPU. If you see this issue with a specific file, please let us know the camera or recorder from which it was sourced.
Thanks,
Ishan

The latest version of the Studio driver is installed on the video card.
The latest drivers for all hardware are installed. Files from the Panasonic g85 camera.

Yes, the same problem. Your engineers don't have to think too much. Just return the decoder selection priority to what it was in Premiere 25.0 and earlier.
