I am still using Premiere Pro 22.6 due to sluggish performance in higher versions. Multicam editing was a nightmare. I decided to check out version 23.6. The performance was even worse then before. Is anyone successfully multicam editing in 23.6?
I actually started a multicam editing session today in 23.6 with high expectations. Had to revert back to 22.6.

Hey @lockhartgary,
I read your note. You say you're having poor performance in multicam editing sessions in current versions. What kind of footage is this? Is it 4K? 4:22? 10-bit? H.264/HEVC? How many angles? Give us full specs of the media and your computer to help us understand what issues you are facing.
Thanks,
Kevin

Version 23.6 mulicam works, but I wait 3-5 seconds for the source monitor with cameras to open (that's when I open new projects, when I open the old project from 2014, mulicam pops up immediately)....so far the best version is 22.6.4, the best rendering, the best multicameras... I also wrote to Adobe about the timeline and they made it in version 23.5, works flawlessly, but the multicamera is still bad in 23.5 and 23.6, here is an example of how I solved it in version 23.5, there is also a video. ...
Problem solved pp 23.5 (multicam and audio track mixer) VIDEO
and there is problem with rendering ...
Pp 23.5 rendering is not as good as 22.6.4
all the best....

Yes i stacked on version 23.2 because all versions up is completely nightmare when it comes with big projects on multicam.
All files i use is H264 1080p 50fps 50mbps HLG3 from sony a7iv
GPU RTX4070TI
CPU I9 13900K
RAM 64GB DDR5 6000Mhz
All drives are SSD
Yes there is new features in newer versions, but i need to work and provide to my clients edited materials on time.
I can't understand why... why Adobe can't provide stable versions of premiere pro.... why till now they even don't implement video denoiser)))
We pay so much money for creative cloud every month and Davince Resolve with it's free version works so smooth and stable, at least in multcam editing and on much less powerful PCs
