So, I have some video shot with my iPhone that I'm using as a second angle in a project. I've converted the .mov file to .mp4 format using the VLC media player and imported them onto the timeline. I can see the iPhone video in the preview window while I'm editing or playing back, but when I render the sequence the iPhone video does not show in the preview anymore - same thing with exporting. When the playhead passes the rendered section, the iPhone clips reappear. Getting very frustrated with it...
Anyone got any ideas?

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:
