Can't play XAVC S 4K 422 10bit and XAVC S-I 4K 422 10bit video shot with Sony A7 IV camera.  XAVC S 420 8bit from A7III plays fine so all other codecs (MPEG 422, XAVC-I, XAV-L, etc.... ).  .  Is there a specific codec to install?

Issue RESOLVED! File corruption when copying footage with CFXPress reader connected via a USB-C hub. Connecting the reader directly to PC solved the problem. Great camera!!!

Hi telecam2,

We're sorry about the poor experience. Would you mind trying the latest Beta release of Premiere Pro to check if the playback is working properly? You may refer to this link to know more about the Creative Cloud beta program.

Thanks,

Sumeet

I tried the file on 3 other PCs, using Sony's own Catalyst Browse software and I am having playback issues too.  I have the feeling that the camera itself is the problem.  There seem to be some kind of corruption on the cards copy to the cards....

Some H.264/265 files can bring a 16 core CPU to it's knees. Try using Quick Sync instead of Nvenc as seen in the video below.
