sound only in 1 ear after switching from normal preset to vertical preset

im trying to edit videos in a vertical format.

 

i import my clip, sound works fine. i go to sequence, settings then switch the frame size from default from 1920:1080 to 1080:1920 (to put it in a vertical aspect). then when i put the clip into the editer, only 1 ear is heard. ive tried editing it and adding fill left with right and vise versa, ive tried everything

everytime i try to input the clip on the vertical settings it says CLIP MISMATCH WARNING

what i dont understand is how does chaning the format effect the sound? they are completely unrelated.

how do i fix this? If i cant get help im not going to use adobe premier pro as editing clips in a vertical aspect is ESSENTIAL

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
