When I compare the speech enhancer in essential sound panel with the adobe podcast enhance speech v2 on the web, I find the later one to sound better. The built-in speech enhancer has noticeable artifact.
The audio are in mandarin chinese.
But having it built-in to premiere is very convenient. Is there a way to make the built-in enhancer match the performance of the web-based enhancer?
Hi avpromedia,
We're sorry about the poor experience. We can get this checked. Would you be willing to share one of the original sample media with which you are experiencing issues along with an example of audio artifact? It will help our product team to diagnose the issue properly.
Thanks,
Sumeet

I attached 3 audio files:
windy poem 01 : generated with chinese text to speech, plus me blowing into a microphone for the wind noise. The other two files are enhanced by premiere built-in enhancer, and the web based podcast enhancer, respectively. You can hear the premiere version created a seeminly new person's voice

I noticed some issues with some of my voice recordings where I heard a phantom voice too, however, there is a great deal of background noise in my clip.
I'm going to try some tests on my own project back in my home studio and I'll see what I can find out for you. For now, my $$$ is on the web version being superior because it's harnessing the tech of many servers compared with my meager MacBook Pro M1.
Thanks,
Kevin

As I understand it, currently, "on device" speech enhancement's quality might be a bit lower than that which could be acquired on the Adobe Podcast website. It should not be markedly lower, however.
As Sumeet suggested, please share the files with us.
Thanks again for the message.
Thanks,
Kevin
