The next issue I'm having is with subtitles: I’ve created SRT files for several films, and I want to add them to sequences, but I’m running into multiple problems.
1. If I do get the file import dialog to appear, only the first 5 minutes out of 45 are added correctly.
2. But in most other sequences, I either don’t get any subtitle import dialog at all — and I couldn’t find an option to add subtitles manually anywhere else.
3. Or automatic transcription starts on its own and I don’t need this transcription, because I’m adding a translated version and not the original. But once the transcription starts, I no longer have the option to import subtitles.
How can I fix this?
Hi there,
We're sorry about the poor experience. To disable auto transcription, you may navigate to Premiere Pro preferences > Media Analysis & Transcription & disable Automatically transcribe clips. Also, to import srt files, you need to import it as any other media file in the project panel & drag it to a sequence to create a new caption track. Let us know if you are experiencing any errors while importing srt.
Thanks,
Sumeet

If you can share these SRT's, I can have a look and see what's the problem. (You can share it via P.M. if you prefere...)

It's imported normally without problems, latest Pr version 25.2.1, win 11
Nothing special: I've imported the srt file, draged it to the timeline, pressed OK in the dialogue box.
