Hi @Elmar279773436l0l,

I read your message. @Stan Jones can you troubleshoot this one?

Thanks,

Elmar,

There is a learning curve with the still relatively new text-based editing. So keep asking questions when something does not make sense. One of the changes is that the options in some of the menus change as your project changes. I think you are looking at the 3-dot drop-down menu in the Text Panel/Transcript tab, and you are in Sequence (not Source clip) view. And yes, this is where you want to look.

Once you have used "Generate static transcript...," you will see what I think you are seeing, an option to "Generate text-based editing transcript..." This returns your sequence to that state where the transcript flows from the Source clip transcripts. But you will also see an option to "Re-transcribe sequence..." That option could just have easily been named "Re-generate static transcript."

So, bottom line, when you have created a static transcript (a transcript of the sequence that does not change as you edit), and you have edited that sequence, you may want to update that transcript so it matches your editing. You do that by picking "Re-transcribe sequence..." from that drop-down menu.

Stan
