Hi everyone,
Please help! I am somewhat new to Adobe Premiere Pro and have been pretty much self-taught. I recently put together a wedding video for a friend and added in some still images. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why when I export the video, the images come up blurry. I've tried everything--deinterlace, do a frame hold on each of the pictures (on the in point), etc. I would really appreciate any advice about this--maybe I'm missing something obvious? I've attached a screen shot of what a typical image looks like once I've exported the video. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the photos.
I used them as is in the same sequence preset at you (DV NTSC Widescreen) - Except I am on PC. I just used the Motion/Scale to scale them to 32%
I exported to H264 at DV resolution. (attached) I dont get the stair stepping and I think the sharpness is about what you can expect from SD video.

I too am having the same problem and like the former user I am also self taught.
My problem is evident even before rendering; when source image and sequence image are viewed side by side there is an obvious degrading in the sequence. My conclusion is that there is some setting that is compressing or reducing the resolution. Where exactly do I find it? I haven't a clue.
I don't have a problem with distortion as I have configured the images to square pixels.
I have played with different options including importing the original files at the original resolution of 2048x1536 and using p/shop to batch resize to 1440x1080.
I used the default HDV 1080i25 (50i) and have exported the video using Media Encoder and Encore and the result is the same.
Suggestions anyone?

Hello Newbie7546 and welcome to the forums.
I have a couple questions for you:
1. What size are the pictures you are using?
2. Are you using the motion effect to zoom into the images?
3. What project preset are you using?
P.S. You should never need to deinterlace a still image taken on a digital camera.

I had this issue after importing from Photoshop and found saving in .psd worked a charm... Also as others have mentioned, the wrench in program monitor, playback resolution - Full.
