Strange playback inturruption occurring

During playback the audio will suddenly drop out and the audio meters will freeze. However, the video will continue to play. Then when I stop playback, the video freezes and I'm unable to playback the sequence at all and any point in the timeline. I am able to save the project, access the menus and navigate my bins, but nothing loads or plays in the source or program. Then I have to End Task in the task manager

 

All of the footage in my timeline is Apple ProRes 422, UHD, 23.98fps, progressive scan, square pixels. All of my audio is .wav files 48khz / 24bit stereo

And I have not updated Premiere since I began this edit.

 

I've done a great deal of troubleshooting but this is problem that I am completely stumped on. What I've learned is it is occurring after I create a large number of audio tracks. I am delivering a feature film and exporting an OMF to sound mix and the mixer had asked me to put all of the scene stems on separate audio channels. This is making me create 61 channels.

 

Also the interruption is happening at approximately the same timecode every time I create a new project or sequence.

 

Here's what I've done so far

  1. Cleared cache everywhere
  2. Nuked render files
  3. Restart, create new projects
  4. Reset all of Premiere's settings
  5. Rexporting the footage and audio and bringing in fresh media

 

Any tips or guidance would be appreciated.

What's that timecode?

 

61 tracks of audio is gonna be a load no question. But still ... should work. That's a clean project for media.
