When I try to play a long scrolling text, it splits in half vertically and transposes both sides so left is on the right. What might be causing this? See screenshots.
When I press play It starts like the second one and after a few seconds corrects itself to the first one. ???
Thanks for any suggestions.

OK. I restarted and the type is in the right place for now, however, the font has reverted to Univers Light instead of Regular and the tracking I added is gone. I save every time I change something. So it should have been there. My reason for changing from Univers Light to Regular, is that the type had been flickering. I had also changed the color from white to light grey and initiated the Flicker Filter from effects to fix the flicker - which they did until I restarted. However now all the type refinements - size, weight, color, tracking flicker filter and new line breaks are gone.

Update. So I went to the auto-save files - and the anti-flicker filter is still there, but the color has reverted from light grey to white, and my line breaks and word edits are still gone.

Just for clarity: the flicker is still there and the underlines I removed are back.

IF anyone here knows what might be going on. I worked all night to finish this 30-minute movie. And I'm knackered (as we say in Scotland, my home.
I'd be really grateful if a local Adobe Master who's walking by, could pass on any useful data.

Try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).
If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Thanks for this Bob!
When I've completed these operations I'll let you know when everything goes back to normal. I've used Premier along time now. I came to it through InDesign. Once I learned that, Premiere felt like a family member. I try to keep up and fortunately this Forum has some very good people.
