Hi All,

Is there a way to stream the proxy files/ attach the proxy files from an http or https url in Premiere pro?

We want to avoid downloading the entire content to local drive and linking it?

Thanks and Regards,

No.

PPro (and all our video apps) require that footage be available from a:

  • Local path
  • Mapped network drive (Windows)
  • Mounted network volume (MacOS X)
  • UNC path

Some developers have worked around this by writing a C++ Importer plug-in for a proxy 'file type' (.xyz file format). When PPro requests frames/audio samples from the 'file', the plug-in obtains same from the stream.

Hello, I've just been approached about the same scenario.  Has Premiere Pro's ability to do this natively changed in any of the new releases? Thank you!
