Subtitle / CC on normal sequence line.

Is there anyway to move a subtitle sequence to a normal sequence so you can manipulate it like a normal file with transitions and other items?

Short answer, "no." The caption track as such cannot be turned into a video clip - which would be subject to transitions. There are several features requests you can upvote, depending on what functions you want.

A partial workaround is to nest. See this thread:
