Subtitles

Hi!

I want to add subtitles to my video, by adding new item- captions- open

But my problem is, i can't find captions. I'm using the 2022 version of Premiere Pro, and this is what i see:

I also tried above by files, and yet this is what I see:

Am I blind or is there indeed no captions function any more?

With PR 2021, there was a completely new Captions workflow. Here's the reference guide:

As Ann says, click on the new Captions workspace, or Window -> Text to get to the new Text Panel (Captions). There is a bug that in the Windows -> dropdown, "Text" will not have a check even if it is open.

 

The new workflow then added speech to text. Huge step forward:
