Hi all, i've been racking my brains trying to figure out what is causing the slow FX render times in my project. Usually rendering is quite nippy, but not here!
I have created an animated line animation that circles specific objects in the underlying video, on transparent layers. I made one and duplicated the object 6 times then nested the 6 clips into one.
Is it because animating lines is a laborious task for CPUs/ GPUs to undertake is why its taking so long? currently it needs more than half an hour each time and the section is less than 10 seconds long (368 frames). All my clips are 1080P with 44.1KHz audio.
Any help/ suggestions much appreciated!

The write-on effect is non-gpu (and obselete), hence the long render time
Best is to use After Effect for writing stuff.

Thank you Ann... i am trying to use the AE workflow as i suspected it was this causing the issue.
I am struggling to get a line to animate in AE however but ill figure it out. Thanks for confirming.

Echoing Anne. For what it does, the Write On effect is ridiculously intensive! Like, why is drawing this line the hardest thing my computer has ever done? It's basically unusable (I've found).
