Text adding strange backgrounds

Hey everyone,

My premiere just got updated - but there seem to be several glitches, the biggest of which is: whenever I add text, strange glitchy layers get added as well. These layers are also present in the export. It looks like a corrupted file or something. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Is anyone else getting this?
