Text based editing and his new mode : Ultra Slow

Explorer ,
Jun 03, 2023 Jun 03, 2023

In 23.4 text based editing showed me a new thing, the Ultra Slow mode, I have to wait 10 to 20 secs between each click I make when I want to extract text.

And it happens when the text based editing wants to work, so 1 times out of 10.

Even on new projects with a 30 secs video.

@Akai 2.2.5, sorry you did not get a response back in June. Are you still seeing this problem? What version are you now running?

@provinz, see this post where I updated the list of various workarounds that have helped some users. As you can see, one user's workaround is another users problem!

What operating system?

Same here... so frustrating because I love the text based editing to cut down my video a TON, but it's so slow and lags for 10-30 seconds between EVERY single edit, click, etc.
