I hate it, please make it stop. How can i stop this from popping up all the time?
It takes over my workflow. That can not be something ost wanna see when they try to change a text a little.

Just click once on the text, not double-click.

And have the Effect controls (or click on the Fx badge) or Properties panel open.

I'll try, but when it doeasnt "mark the text", then you double click (yes you doo, yes you doooo" ) like in all applications in the world. I guess that paradigm needs to change now.

I am part of the team who came up with the Text panel popping up automatically on double-click. This was our attempt to bring up the relavant controls for text editing. It is definelty interesting feedback that you find it annoying.
You are right that double-clicking text selects the text, and that is the same in Premiere Pro. But that would be a double-click in the Program Monitor or on the text layer in the Essential Graphics panel (or now Properties panel, depending on which version you are looking at)

Hello Annika!

When i double click it I want to possibly

1. Alter the text

2. Alter size or font

3.  Change the look/rotation/colour or other.

I work and teach  spots, trailers and other stuff that dont have a lot of text mostly. I have subtitles as well and can imagine it would be good for that.

But to have the focus change from the window im in where I see the changes and alterations at once is horrible. Also I have a laptop so the text window takes upp screen space i dont have so I ALSO have to close that sumb. gehennna window every time it pops up so it doesn't cover the windows I have open in my project.

People work alot making their own workspaces. Why this? Take the person that came up with this idea and take away his/her allowance!

Chris
