text / graphic does not show up on timeline

So when i enter the text to my video, the "graphic" pink clip should show up immediately on my timeline, but it didn't. appreciate any helps. thank you.

So i clicked on the "T" symbol (type tool) then entered text on the video.

See if its on V4 or higher.

Do you mean the version of Premiere Pro? If that's what it is, i got the newest version of Pr downloaded straight from Adobe Creative Cloud, and I'm using the 7-day free trial.

V4 is video track 4.
