Text is in the timeline but does not appear in the video panel

Hi,

Some text i have in my timeline has stopped appearing in my video, but the timeline says it is still there? when i click on effects controls i can see the text is still there, all opacities are set to 100%, text is white, it is in the frame. There is nothing immediately obvious to me as to why it doesnt show. I am new to PP so maybe i am missing something obvious? 

Interestingly the text i can see in my video shows as pink in the timeline, where as the text which has disappeared has a pink opaque box on the timeline. see pic below.

If i remember correctly i had keyframed the text, but this was before christmas so i cant remember for certain if i did.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Clip looks very dark, is it enabled?

I cant believe it was that simple! thank you so much. I'm new to PP so that was a gap in my knowledge.

If you want help, post a full screenshot of the entire UI.

It's like why does my car not run and just looking at the steering wheel.
