Hi! So my friend is at work right now, she had to switch PCs to continue working on her project. Her first PC was running Premiere 2021, the second 2022, and after the program updated her project file for use with 2022 the autosaves are gone and the timeline is missing. Does anyone know of a fix for this? She needs it done by the end of today >.< Thanks!
Assuming the project opened and there were no missing media warnings.
By default the ausosaves are located next to the original project file, the save location of the updated file may have accidentally been changed when she updated the file.
Also since autosaves (really auto backups) are separate files if they were not copied to the new computer along with the project and media files they they wouldn't be on the new system.
The Timeline panel may just be hidden or maybe the sequence is closed. To open the panel go to Window>Timeline>(Name of Sequence) or Locate the Sequence in the Project panel and double–click on it to open it in the Timeline.
