timeline deleted

timeline got deleted in the middle of the project. is there any way i can back up the timeline?

Did your timeline disappear because you accidentally closed it, or did you delete the entire timeline in the project window?

If the first, the solution offered by Ann will do the trick (the timeline is still available in the project panel); if the latter, you can usually use CTRL/CMD+Z to undo previous actions. If you have saved and closed the project file, you may need to open a previous version of the project, as saved in the Auto-save folder. Depending on the interval and the number you chose between/for auto-saves, you lose more or less of the edits you have done in between.
