Timeline previews corrupted when opening a PPro project with dynamic AE links with Roto Brush

I've been working on a PPro project for a couple of weeks, and often, when I open the project, the timeline previews are weird. Here you can see strange blobs over the red gradient background on 3 of the clips. The rightmost clip shows a correct preview -  a bottle on a red gradient background, but the other 3 just show the gradient background and weirdness. The sequence plays back ok, and if I resize the timeline, the correct previews appear. I think the common thing across the weird glitchy timeline shots is that those have Roto Brush used on them in AE, and the rightmost shot does not.

(The red gradient background is a grad created in AE - it's not a "Media missing" warning or anything like that!)
