I've noticed many times that, after I "render effects in work area" or "render entire work area", the rendered clip does not remain rendered (ie, the bar above the clip on the timeline goes red again), even though I have not changed anything on that part of the timeline (no changes to the clip, no new transitions, etc). Eg, I have rendered effects on the entire timeline, so that no clips have the red bar, then save the project; I come back to the project later, and some of the clips will again have the red bar. Why does this occur? (Premiere 24.6.1)
Hi there,
Sorry for the issue. Does this happen with specific effects? The timeline might be required to render again if the effects parameters are changed or more effects or media are added. Please also let us know if this happens when you restart the app or if it happens in the same launch instance.
Thanks,
Ishan

I haven't taken note of whether or not it only happens with certain effects, but I just now did a quick test... I rendered effects on every clip in the time line that was red, saved the project, then closed the project and re-opened it (in the same PP instance). There were no red clips at that point. I then shut down Premiere (without making any changes whatsoever to the timeline), then re-started Premiere and opened the project. There were a number of red bars again.
That's all the time I have right now.

Thanks for your response and added info. I've seen this before on my own sequences sometimes. Do you have captions rendered along with the video? Let us know any other details.
Cheers,
Kevin

One potential cause for this issue is that Premiere Pro may fail to properly link render files when loading previously opened timelines during startup.
A possible workaround is to adjust your settings:
After making this change, restart Premiere Pro and see if the issue persists.

The issue still occurred.
