Timeline showing the wrong timecode of the clips

Hi, everyone.

Recently we finished a project and all went well. Exported all the files smoothly. 2 months after touching the project for the last time, I opened it to extract a frame without the 2.35 aspect bars we used on it.

All the clips are misaligned. I went through the forum, checked the responses, turned all offline, unchecked the "Align Timecode" and relinked them. Nothing.

Still displaying the wrong timecode for all clips. Super weird.

Does anyone have the solution for that? This project is already closed but if that happens to a future one that will be a pain.

Really appreciate it.

This has happened to a project I'm currently working on, and I'm wondering if there's any way to fix this. What is this issue caused by, and how do I undo it? I'll import via Media Browser in the future, but is there any way to undo the misalignment on these dozens of clips for this project?

Hey Al,

Apologies for this. What format were the clips? Originally in groups of folders? If so, you need it import media via Media Browser so that the proper metadata gets carried along with the clips. Otherwise, a disaster such as you've described can ensue. Always import clips via Media Browser in the future and this should not be an issue.

Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks for the input. I always drag them to the project window, but that was the first time it happened.
