Surprised to see this has been a problem for over 3 years now. I first switched to a Windows laptop for my Premiere Pro work and raised this exact question to Adobe support technicians...posted about it in the Premiere Pro community already.
Highly doubt we'll ever see this feature get implemented, at this point.
