Community Beginner ,
Nov 15, 2023 Nov 15, 2023

After transcribing a sequence it is not possible to rename the speaker - Tells you to go to the source clip which has to be retranscribed. But it remains "Unknown"-speaker when returning to the sequence transcription.  CC 24.0.3 MacOS 13.6.1

Hello @Pethag,

did you enable speaker labelling before you transcribed your source clips? (You'll find the optin in the Import tab under "Automatic transcription" settings, or in Preferences -> Transcription). If speaker labelling is not enabled, all speakers will be shown as "Unknown" instead of "Speaker 1", "Speaker 2", etc.

Currently it's not possible to rename the speakers in a sqeuence transcript – but you should be able to do that in the source transcript, and the changes you make there should also be shown in the sequence transcript. When you're in the source transcript, click on  "... Speaker 1" and select "Edit speaker name" to rename your speaker. Does that work for you?

Best,

Kerstin
