Transcription grammar: consistently fails to capitalize after a period. Stupid.

Transcription grammar: consistently fails to capitalize after a period.  I cannot understand how the transcription engine could be programmed to not capitalize EVERY TIME after a period.  I waste a lot of time adding initial caps on sentances.  This is stupid, should be a simple fix!

Sorry for delay Kevin, had to wait for an appropriate test case.  Happy to report not a single intial caps error in over 30 minutes of transcription!  Huzzah.  Thanks to the team from me!

In January of 2025 it's still often failing to capitalize after a period. What's the fix?

Is this a project created new in version, 25?

@markzimmstl,

I would expect it to work, but test it: create a new test project in PR 25. Add one clip that did not work correctly. Transcribe; what do you see?

If it works, I would create a new project in PR 25, and import the old project to it. I'd make sure that works before committing to the new project.

I had to finish the edit manually but my fingers are crossed for my next project (which will be in v25). Thanks for your help.

@EditingBob,

This was a bug identified in 24.3.0 and fixed in Beta and then Release 24.5.0.

@EditingBob,

Okay!

Is this a new project started in 24.5? Any chance the transcription was done in the previous version?

Here's that other thread:

@Kerstin Ebert Thoughts?

Correct, new project created 24.5.0

Good to hear on other thread that Beta 24.6.0.8 fixed, though if that fix made it thru to 24.5.0 wonder why still getting init caps bug?

Thanks everyone!  Frustrating as all heck to constantly stop to edit these init caps.

Bob,

It is odd, because I could see the bug, but it appears fixed in 24.5.0 for me.
