I am trying to apply a transition between clips, but no matter what I do the transition does not show in the product. It appears in the timeline and I can set some values in the effects control panel, but nothing actually makes it appear in the video. I have searched online and found nothing helpful. I thought it might just be with my project, but even when I start over again, the same thing happens, so I believe it must be in some hidden setting somewhere, but I do not know where to look or what to do. Can something please help.
Try unchecking Composite in linear color in the sequence settings.
If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

Then try pressing Enter to render the timeline and turn the red line above the timeline to green.

Thank you for the response. I had already tried this and it did not work. I just tried it again, and still having the same problem. Transitions still not showing.

Do your media properties match the sequence settings?
Some transitions and effects won't work properly unless they match.
Please post screenshots of your media properties, sequence settings, and sequence.
Which transition?

I am now getting an error message where the transition should be. It just says media pending in a bunch of different languages.

Is your media on an external drive that is not now connected or does not have a fixed drive letter?
Did you move the location or change the name of the media?

Unchecking the Composite in linear color seemed to solve the problem. Thank you so much for the help. I am really excited to have it working again.
