Transition Presets Not Working in Newer Versions

Hi there,

For a while I've had to use Premiere Pro V21 as I have a problem with all my transition presets from 22 onwards. Basically whenever I try to apply a new transition in newer versions, the first effect from my preset seems to be missing. The transitions work perfectly fine in V21 and earlier and I've had the same problem across multiple computers.

I've contacted Adobe and had a support agent look at my computer for a couple of hours and was not able to resolve the issue apart from saying that he couldn't help me as I'm using third party presets.

Has anyone else had this issue with transition presets and been able to find a way around it? Alternatively doesn't anyone know if it's possible for me to instal Premiere Pro 21? I installed 23 earlier today to see if it had the same problem (which it did) and under 'older versions' it now only allows me to download 22 onwards.

Thanks!

First, some general advice. Make sure for ANY updates of CC apps that 'remove prior versions' is NOT checked! Many times that pops up auto-filled, and you the user MUST check to make sure it is not selected!

Also, carefully set up the Adobe CC Desktop apps so that that app is auto-updated, but ... never auto-update programs.

For 3rd party tools when you move between major versions, you really need to check with the maker/provider of those tools. Adobe has no knowledge or control over those functions.
