I have this anamorphic RED footage in a squence (4320 x 3240 1:8)

When I export a frame and open it in PS, it is unsqueezed.(clicking the camera button and also tried export as tiff). I use this as reference to create a plate overlay. When I add my overlay back in my sequence in Premiere it looks fine until I start playback, it then looks stretched out.

also, is enable maximum quality enabled on playback? and sequence settings?

you may need to convert your sequence and clip to square pixels to accomodate 1:8
