Unable to delete clip markers that were created by

I tried out Scene Edit Detection for the first time and checked the option "create clip marker at each detected cut point". However, it created far too many cut points. To fix this, I set about deleting clips and dragging one remaining clip to fill the gaps. However, the numerous unwanted clip markers remain within the resulting clip, and I can't figure out how to delete them. I've looked at several tutorials and the Adobe guide but can't figure out what I'm missing. I am able to "Go to Marker" for these markers, but am unable to manipulate them in any way. And I can't get them to display in the Marker panel.

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 25.5.0 build 57

on Mac Studio Apple M2 Max

Sonoma 14.5

To delete all the markers in a clip, load the clip in the Source Monitor and select Markers > Clear Markers.

To delete individual markers, move your playhead over the marker and press M. This will open the Marker window. Click Delete to remove the marker.

To view clip markers in the Markers panel, click the panel context menu and make sure you have enabled Show All Markers.

Cheers,
Paul

I'm replying in case anyone else encounters a similar problem with deleting clip markers generated by Scene Edit Detection. @PaulMurphy I attempted all of the same methods that you suggested at the time, and none worked. Clear and Delete were always grayed out when those clip markers were selected, and those markers would not appear at all in Markers panel when Show All Markers was enabled. But I think I should point out that the auto-generated clip markers appeared only on the video track, not the linked audio track.

However, I started over and applied Scene Edit Detection again to the original linked video/audio clips. This time, the auto-generated clip markers appeared on both the video and audio tracks, and I was able to delete the clips exactly as expected.

It defintely seems that my issue was related to how the first time, the auto-generated clip markers only appeared within the video clips. Not sure why this happened the first time and not the second time. When I encountered the issue, I did try linking and unlinking the audio/video to see if that would allow me to delete the video clip markers, but that didn't work either.

Anyway, the problem did not occur the second time, so I guess this is resolved, even though I have no idea what the problem was the first time.
